Created by two Canadian programmers in 1984, BOULDER DASH® has become one of the longest running videogame franchises! The original BOULDER DASH® is a pioneering interactive game dating back to the early times of the home computer and video game era. Its many sequels have delighted and challenged casual and hard-core players of all ages and sexes for over nearly four decades.

BOULDER DASH 40th Anniversary Master Challenge
To mark the global release of the eagerly awaited BOULDER DASH 40th Anniversary on 24 July 2025 “Master Challenge” qualifier tournaments will be held on this day at the Computerspielemuseum Berlin and the GAMM Museum Rome. The best players will secure their tickets for the BOULDER DASH World Cup on 23 August in Cologne.
Martin Görlich, Managing Director Computerspielemuseum Berlin, is looking forward to the event: „BOULDER DASH created its own genre and shaped an entire generation – it is an honour to celebrate this iconic game tournament at our Computer Game Museum Berlin and to bring new and old fans together.“
